The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is an autonomous body that was established under the Food Safety and Standards Act, of 2006. The main objective of FSSAI is to ensure the safety and quality of food products that are being manufactured, processed, and sold in India. To achieve this objective, FSSAI has made it mandatory for all food businesses to obtain FSSAI registration.
