Avoid Alcohol and Certain Medications
Combining opioids and alcohol and other sedatives, such as benzodiazepines (e.g., Xanax, Valium) may be dangerous. Combining them could cause breathing to slow down to the point which is dangerous. Make sure to talk with your doctor or pharmacist prior to mixing other drugs with opioids, including over-the-counter medications or supplements.
